On June 9, 2019, Autumn Guthrie was reported missing in Guelph. The female was located this morning in Guelph. Guelph Police would like to thank the public for their assistance.

Vehicle Shears Hydro Pole and Crashes into House

On June 9, 2019, at approximately 6:50 p.m., a white Hyundai Genesis was southbound on Victoria Road North, just south of Eramosa Road. The driver lost control and drove into a hydro pole shearing it off. The vehicle then became airborne and flipped on to its roof and struck a nearby home. The 21-year-old Guelph male driver and his passenger miraculously were not injured. Police believe speed was a factor and the investigation is ongoing. The total damages are estimated at $300,000. No one in the house was injured.

Male faces Multiple Charges

On June 8, 2019, Guelph Police were investigating a suspicious vehicle in the area of Willow Road and Bagot Street. The black Infinity had taken off from police earlier in the day. The vehicle had stolen licence plates attached to it.  A 19-year-old Guelph male was arrested for two counts of Possession of Stolen Property and Breach of Recognizance. He will appear in bail court today.

Impaired Arrest

On June 8, 2019, at approximately 2:30 a.m., a Mercedes Benz sedan being operated in a suspicious manner was observed in the area of Silvercreek Parkway South and Waterloo Ave. Guelph Police conducted a stop and as a result the 27-year-old Kitchener male was arrested for Impaired Operation and Drive Over 80. He will appear in court on June 21, 2019.
