Female Arrested After A Collision With A Snowbank

On February 26th, 2020, at 6am, an adult female crashed a vehicle into a snowbank in a commercial parking lot located near the intersection of Victoria Road North and Grange Road in the City of Guelph. The female then fled on foot.

At 6:27am, police located the female a short distance away and began speaking with her. Based on officer observation, she was subsequently arrested.

A 46 year old Guelph female has been charged with Operation While Impaired – Blood Drug Concentration. Her driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

She will appear in court on March 10th.

 

Female Arrested After Shoplifting Alcohol And Failing To Attend Court For Third Time

On February 7th, 2020, at 9:01pm, an adult female shoplifted $87.80 worth of alcohol from a store located near the intersection of Wellington Street West and Gordon Street in the City of Guelph.

On February 21st, the female failed to attend court in regards to the following charges that were unrelated to the alcohol shoplifting incident:

  • Theft Under $5,000 x4
  • Fail To Attend Court x2
  • Escape Lawful Custody
  • Transportation Fraud

On February 26th, at 8:48am, police located the female at a residence located near the intersection of Watson Parkway North and Eastview Road in the City of Guelph. She was subsequently arrested.

A 38 year old Guelph female has been additionally charged with:

  • Theft Under $5,000
  • Fail To Attend Court
  • Fail To Comply With Undertaking x2

She was held in custody pending a bail hearing on February 27th.

 

Parkade Damaged

On February 8th, 2020, it was reported to the Guelph Police Service that a parkade located in the downtown core of the City of Guelph was damaged. The exit gate arm was damaged and not functioning, and the exit lane coin machine was dented inwards.

The Guelph Police Service would like to speak with the male in the attached picture in regards to the incident.

False Fire Alarm Investigation

On February 20th, 2020, at 8:45pm, an adult male pulled the fire alarm of a commercial building located in the downtown core of the City of Guelph. The Guelph Fire Department attended the scene and found no sign of fire.

The male who pulled the alarm left the area before the Guelph Fire Department arrived at the scene. He’s described as:

  • Caucasian
  • Early 20’s
  • Slim build
  • Wearing a grey jacket, dark pants, dark shoes, red shirt and a red/white Canada toque

Police are also looking to speak with another male who was in the area when the alarm was pulled. He’s described as:

  • Early 20’s
  • Medium build
  • Short brown hair
  • Wearing a blue jacket, dark pants and dark shoes

Female Arrested After Shoplifting Alcohol

On February 7th, 2020, an adult female shoplifted $27.45 worth of alcohol from a store located near the intersection of Wellington Street West and Gordon Street in the City of Guelph.

On February 26th, police located the female in an apartment building located in the downtown core of the City of Guelph. She was subsequently arrested.

A 34 year old Guelph female has been charged with:

  • Theft Under $5,000
  • Breach Of Probation x2

She will appear in court on March 19th.
