Male Arrested For Assault After Spitting

On the afternoon of August 12th, 2019, two adult males began arguing in a store on the east end of the city. The altercation ended with one male spitting on the other. They both then went their separate ways leaving the store. Soon after, police located the responsible male at his residence and arrested him.

A 21-year-old Guelph male has been charged with Assault. He will appear in court on September 24th, 2019.

On the morning of August 12th, 2019, a residence was entered in the east end of the city. Over $16,000 worth of property was taken including jewelry, currency, teapots and a tablet.

Proactive Speed Enforcement Initiative Catches Speeders

On August 12th, 2019, the Guelph Police Service Traffic Unit engaged in a proactive speed enforcement initiative in the south end of Guelph including locations on Edinburgh Road South and Clair Road West. Over the course of two hours, six Provincial Offence Notices were issued to drivers for speeding.

The Guelph Police Service would like to remind the public to slow down and ensure that everyone arrives to their destination safely.
