OPERATION KEEP WARM needs your donations of tents, tarps, sleeping bags and large hiking backpacks for people experiencing homelessness!
Please take a few moments to sort through old camping gear! Has your family outgrown that old two-person tent? Are you no longer using that 80 litre backpack? Do you have an old tarp in the back of the garage? Did you upgrade that old sleeping bag?
Please bring items to 133 Woolwich St. anytime between 9am and 8pm Tuesday & Thursday and 9am – 4pm & 6pm – 8pm Monday, Wednesday & Friday to be distributed by the Community Health Van to those in need!
The Community Health Van operates two days a week through a partnership with the Sanguen Health Centre, ARCH – HIV / AIDS Resources & Community Health, and Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health. The Van provides health and support services to individuals who might otherwise not be able to access them. Since it started one year ago over 1,347 individuals have visited the van more than 3,751 times.
