November 29, 1972 – Pong Released by Atari Co-founder Nolan Bushnell

Nolan Bushnell (co-founder of Atari) released Pong (the first commercially successful video game) in Andy Capp’s Tavern in Sunnyvale, California on this day in 1972.

The inventor of the smash-hit 1970’s arcade game Pong, earned Nolan Bushnell the nickname of, “the father of video-gaming”.

Despite his 76 years, the entrepreneur shows no signs of slowing down and he’s launched a brand new voice-controlled game.
