Male hides drugs in jail

On December 13, 2018 at approximately 10:39 a.m., a male was in in custody at 3 Wyndham Street for unrelated charges awaiting to appear in court.  Officers observed the male in the cells attempting to hide something.  Officers attended the cell and located what is believed to be fentanyl and heroin.

Charmkaur SIDHU, a 33-year-old Brampton male, was charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and breaching a Recognizance.  SIDHU appeared in court in bail court on December 13, 2018.

Warrant executed

In October of 2018, the Guelph Police Fraud Unit began an investigation into identity and credit card thefts.  As a result of this investigation, a search warrant was executed at a residence on Hands Drive on December 13, 2018.

After the search warrant was conducted, a 28-year-old Guelph male was arrested and charged with two counts of Identity Fraud, two counts of Unauthorized Use of Credit Card Data, Theft Under $5000, and two counts of breaching a Probation.  The male is scheduled to appear in court December 14, 2018.
