Four arrested on warrants

A 28-year-old Guelph man was in custody at the courthouse when officers found him to be in possession of cocaine. Further investigation discovered he was wanted on a warrant for fraud under, use credit card unauthorized and two counts of breach probation. He was further charged with possess a controlled substance and breach probation. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 36-year-old Guelph man arrested on a warrant for assault, breach undertaking and three counts of breach probation. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 34-year-old Guelph man arrested on two warrants for drug and breach charges. Subsequent to his arrest he was searched and a small quantity of crystal meth was found. He was further charged with possess a controlled substance, breach probation and three counts of breach recognizance. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 31-year-old Guelph man arrested on two warrants for drive disqualified, fail to re-attend court as well as under the Highway Traffic Act for drive while under suspension and novice driver – alcohol. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Two traffic stops lead to driving related arrests

On May 21, 2019 at approximately 2:00 p.m., Guelph Police were in the area of Glenbrook Drive when the officer observed a male, known to have driving restrictions, driving a car. A traffic stop was conducted and the man arrested.

The 39-year-old Guelph man has been charged with two counts of drive while prohibited under the Criminal Code and two counts of drive while suspended under the Highway Traffic Act.

On May 21, 2019 at 6:38 p.m., Guelph Police on general patrol conducted a traffic stop with a car in the area of Surrey Street and Wellington Street. The male driver was found to have driving conditions under the criminal code and he was arrested.

The 54-year-old Guelph man has been charged with drive while prohibited under the Criminal Code. He will appear in court on June 25, 2019.

 

Break and enter

On May 21, 2019, the Guelph Police went to a Governors Road business for the report of a break and enter. The lock was cut off a storage cage to gain entry and a theft of a BBQ, propane tank and gas can are reported. This incident is believed to have occurred sometime between May 17 and May 21.

Break and enter

On May 21, 2019, the Guelph Police went to a Country Club Drive residence for the report of a break and enter.  The culprit(s) gained entry to the shed on the property and stole a bicycle.

Break and enter

On May 21, 2019, the Guelph Police went to two Walnut Drive residences for the report of a break and enters.  The culprit(s) gained entry to the sheds on the properties but no theft is reported in either incident.
