Female Arrested After Robbery

On April 14th, 2020, at 2:30pm, an adult female accosted a 72 year old male for $5 inside a store located near the intersection of Willow Road and Westwood Road in the City of Guelph. The male complied and returned to his vehicle in the parking lot. The female followed him and stood between the open vehicle door and the male. A struggled ensued, the female took $70 from the male and fled.

At 2:38pm, police located the female at another store in the same commercial plaza and she was subsequently arrested.

A 22 year old Guelph female has been charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Breach Of Probation

She will appear in court on August 4th.

Numerous Residential Storage Lockers Entered

On April 14th, 2020, at 2:14pm, it was reported to the Guelph Police Service that numerous storage lockers in a residential building located near the intersection of Gordon Street and Edinburgh Road South in the City of Guelph were entered.

Residential Garage Entered

Some time between 10:30am on April 13th and 4:45pm on April 14th, 2020, the garage of a residence located near the intersection of York Road and Stevenson Street South in the City of Guelph was entered. Entry was gained as the lock was removed. Numerous handheld power tools (valued at $500) were taken.

Numerous Vehicles Entered

Some time before April 13th, at 8:15am, a vehicle parked outside a residence located near the intersection of Clairfields Drive West and Gordon Street in the City of Guelph was entered. A wallet containing identity documents and a debit card was taken.

At 8:15am, the debit card was used to purchase merchandise at a store located near the intersection of Gordon Street and Wellington Street East.

On April 14th, 2020, at 12:44pm, it was reported to the Guelph Police Service that a vehicle parked outside a residence located near the intersection of Norwich Street East and Wooldwich Street in the City of Guelph was entered. Numerous items were taken including glasses, change and a gas station points reward card. The points reward card was then used to purchase numerous items at two gas stations located near the intersection of Imperial Road South and Paisley Road, and Woodlawn Road West and Imperial Road North. During the purchases, 1,429,000 points were redeemed.

On April 14th, 2020, at 3pm, a vehicle parked in the downtown core of the City of Guelph was entered. Numerous items were taken including a brown leather Roots folding wallet, identity documents, credit card, debit card and scratch ticket (valued at $10). The debit and credit cards were then used at a nearby convenience store by an adult female to purchase $110 worth of merchandise.

The female is described as:

  • 20 years old
  • 5’3
  • Wearing a black hooded coat, black pants, brown ankle boots and a plaid scarf

On April 14th, 2020, at 6:53pm, it was reported to the Guelph Police Service that a vehicle parked outside a residence located near the intersection of Ironwood Road and Kortright Road West in the City of Guelph was entered. A wallet was taken.

That evening, the wallet with identity documents was located in a nearby park. It was returned to the owner.
