Guelph Police

On December 3, 2018, at approximately 10:06 a.m., Guelph Police were called to an apartment complex on Carden Street in regard to a male that had smashed a window on December 1, at approximately 3:27 a.m.  The superintendent advised police the responsible male had just left the apartment building.

The male was located in the area of Woolwich Street and MacDonell Street a short time later.  A 22-year-old Guelph male was arrested for Mischief Under $5000.

On April 12, 2017, this same male was sentenced in regards to the offenses of Possession of Break-In Instruments, two counts of Possession Schedule I, three counts of Theft Under $5000, Fraud Under $5000, three counts of Breach Probation Order, and Possession of Credit Card.

On May 3, 2018, the male was sentenced in regards to the offenses of Attempt Break and Enter a Dwelling Place, two counts of Break and Enter into a Dwelling Place, two counts of Fail to Comply and Fail to Re-attend Court.

On August 28, 2018, the male entered into an Undertaking before a Justice of the Peace. The male is charged with two counts of Possess Controlled Substance, Theft Under $5000, Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000, six counts of Breach Probation Order, Possess Break-in Instruments, and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

On November 12, 2018, the male entered into a recognizance before a Justice of the Peace. The male is charged with two counts of breach his Probation Order, and breach his Recognizance.

As a result of the a/m incidents, the male was charged with Failing to Comply with an Undertaking, breaching his Recognizance, three counts of breaching his Probation Order, Possession of Break-in Instruments, and Possession of Stolen Property.  A total of eight new charges as a result of smashing the window.  The male is scheduled to appear in court on December 4, 2018.

7:07 a.m. drunk driver with crystal meth

On December 3, 2018, at approximately 7:07 a.m., Guelph Police were alerted by members of the public about a suspicious vehicle entering a gated compound.

When police arrived, they located the vehicle and spoke with the driver.  After speaking with the driver, the male was arrested for Impaired Driving.  When police searched the male, they located over 18.0 grams of what is believed to be crystal meth, with a street value of $1800.00.  The male was further charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Controlled Substance.

Cody BOIVIN-WILSON, a 21-year-old Guelph male was further charged with Over 80, Novice Driver-BAC Above Zero, and Driver Fail to Surrender his Licence.  BOIVIN-WILSON is scheduled to appear in court on January 22, 2018.
