Drug Arrest

Guelph Police

In late 2018, the Guelph Police Service Drug Unit initiated a drug investigation into drug trafficking.

As a result of the investigation, on February 20, 2019, Guelph police attended to an Eastview residence and arrested two individuals. Subsequent to the arrest, Guelph police executed a search warrant under the Control Drugs and Substance Act. The investigation also resulted in the seizure of cash, cocaine, psilocybin and drug paraphernalia. Total drugs and cash are estimated to have a value of $3000.

Scott Hemstreet, a 36 year old Guelph male, and Danielle Pilgrim, a 23 year old female, were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. They were both given an April 2, 2019 court date.

Another B.E.A.T. Team Arrest

On February 20, 2019 at approximately 4pm, the Guelph Police Service B.E.A.T. Team located a vehicle that was suspected to have been stolen. The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of two Guelph males, a 23 year old and a 29 year old. They were charged with operation while prohibited, breaching a condition of their Undertaking and breaching their Probation Order.

Stolen Motorcycle

On February 20, 2019, Guelph police were in the area of Woodland Glen Drive when they noticed a motorcycle with no plates on it. Through investigation, it was learned that the motorcycle was allegedly stolen. As a result of the investigation, Jason Fernandes, a 31 year old Guelph male, was charged with possession of stolen property under $5000 and operation of a vehicle while prohibited. He was given an April 2, 2019 court date.

Break and Enter

On February 20, 2019, at approximately 3:20pm, Guelph police went to a Rosewood Avenue residence for the report of a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the house during the day and stole jewelry.

Damage to Property

On February 20, 2019, at approximately 4:30pm, Guelph police were called to a Norwich address, where there was a report of damage to property. As a result of the investigation, a 24 year old Guelph man was arrested and charged with mischief under $5000 and breaching his probation order. He was held for a bail hearing.

Series of Thefts

On February 17, 2019, Guelph police initiated an investigation into a series of theft to a north end department stores.  On February 20, 2019 police arrested a 27 year old Guelph man was arrested and charged with two counts of theft under, three counts of possessing stolen property and three counts of breaching a condition of his Undertaking. He was held for a bail hearing.

In the last 24 hours, Guelph police dealt with approximately 200 calls for service.
