Busker Assaulted

On July 10, 2019, at 6:55p.m., two males exited a business on Wellington Street West and approached a male busker playing guitar.  One of the men began shouting threats at the busker.  When the busker mentioned he was going to report the threats to police, he was shoved and punched in the face.  The busker suffered minor injuries.  

A 32-year-old Guelph man has been charged with Uttering Threats and Assault.   

 

Dangerous Driving Charge Laid

On Sunday, June 9, 2019, Guelph Police entered into an investigation into a serious motor vehicle collision on Victoria Road North at Eramosa Road.  The driver of the vehicle lost control, resulting in the vehicle leaving the roadway and shearing a hydro pole in half. The vehicle came to a stop on its roof after causing minimal damage to a house.  Fortunately, no one was injured.  

After thorough investigation, a 21-year-old Guelph male has been charged with Dangerous Operation. Speed was found to be a factor. 

Stolen Bicycle

Sometime during the daylight hours of July 10, 2019, unknown persons entered an open garage at a residence on Stephanie Drive and stole a KHS bicycle. The bicycle is black in colour and valued at $1,200.00.
