Brewing up Triple Trouble

Guelph Police

On October 25, 2018, Guelph Police were called to a business on Paisley Road in regard to a theft of over $400 worth of beer, as well as some other items.  Loss Prevention had recognized the male as he had stolen items the previous two days as well.  On October 24, the male stole over $430 worth of beer and meat, and on October 23, the male stole over $50 worth of beer.

Police attended to the store and arrested the male as he was attempting to leave in a vehicle.

Robert ATKINSON, a 53-year-old Guelph male, was charged with three counts of Theft Under $5000.  ATKINSON is scheduled to appear in court on December 4, 2018.

Trafficking Arrest

On October 25, 2018, members of the Guelph Police Intelligence Unit were conducting surveillance in regard to separate investigation, when they observed a drug deal involving a male.  A short time later, the same male was observed doing another drug deal with a different male.

The male that received the drugs was followed by police and arrested.  Timothy HANLON, a 43-year-old Guelph male, was charged with three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.  HANLON was found to be in possession of what is believed to be morphine, crystal meth, and heroin.  HANLON is scheduled to appear in court on December 5, 2018.

The male dealing the drugs was observed later in the day and was also arrested.  A 43-year-old Guelph male was charged with Trafficking, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, and four counts of breaching two different Probation Orders.  The male is scheduled to appear in court on October 26, 2018.
