19 Year Old Drunk Driver Drags Fire Hydrant 150M

On the 29th of December, 2019 at approximately 1:49am police were notified of a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Gordon Street and Dean Avenue.  Officers arrived on scene and observed one vehicle with front end damage.  The vehicle had struck a fire hydrant on the west side of the street and dragged it approximately 150 meters, where it came to a stop on the east side of the street.

The driver, a 19 year of Drayton female, was arrested for operation while impaired.  Airbags were deployed due to the collision, therefore the female was taken to the hospital.  She was eventually cleared by medical staff, without injury.  She was released on an Appearance Notice, with a court date of January 14th, 2020.
